Vadnagar is a hub of education in North Gujarat. V.N.S. Bank Ltd. Arts and Commerce College is located at Vadnagar (North Gujarat), of Mehsana district, Gujarat-384355 established in the year of 1968, affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan-384265 is included in the list of colleges maintained under section 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act, 1956 under the head Non-Government (Grant-In-Aid) college teaching up to master’s degree.

  • It is the birthplace of our honorable Shri Narendrabhai Modi, 15th Prime Minister of India. Earlier people had to endeavor hard to get admission for Higher studies for their wards. Few colleges were offering Arts and Commerce courses in North Gujarat. The faculties in Arts and Commerce college disciplines attracted the students of Visnagar, Idar, Mehsana, Kheralu, and even of Vijapur town. It's indeed a matter of great pride and privilege that the college has one Ph.D. guide Principal Dr. D U Patel in Sanskrit for students who wish to study further.

The college has a digital English Language Laboratory [DELL] which is a kind of blessing to our students. In addition, the college also offers SCOPE and CCC certificate courses under the expert tutor's guidelines.The college has a large and spacious library having 14213 including books, magazines, and journals, which caters to the needs of the faculties, students, and research scholars as well. The college has had one full company in NCC since its inception. Moreover, the college has had a full unit of NSS since 1992. Their prime motto is to bring out the latest potential and qualities of the youth of the college.

VNSB Ltd Arts and Commerce College is managed by the Vadnagar Education Society. There are 17 Assistant and Associate Professors and 03 Ad-hoc Management appointed lecturers in various disciplines. Other than this, there is a principal, a librarian, and 11 non-teaching staff members.
The students, as well as the staff members, have brought many accolades for the college at the state and national level in various activities like NCC, NSS, Youth Activities, and research work along with academic as well as social work. The principal is also Editor-in-chief in two international reputed research journals [Atmaj Academic Research Journal & Soham; An International Multidisciplinary Peer-Reviewed Research Journal] and continuously guides the faculties for research contribution for the sake of society and students. The staff members and students are representing the college at the university in its senate and academic bodies.

VNSBL Arts and Commerce College has two faculties’ Arts & Commerce and 08 departments: English, Economics, Gujarati, Psychology, History, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Commerce. It runs programs for B.A., B.Com., M.A., and M.Com.

Welcome to VNSBL Arts and Commerce, Vadnagar. In the last few years, the college has leaped academic fraternity. As an academic researcher, author, and experienced teacher, it has been my privilege to introduce innovation and enhance quality at various levels in the college. We have a collective desire to inculcate honesty, patience, an amicable and compassionate approach, holistic aspects, involvement in disaster management, and continual engagement in social services for inclusive growth.

I wish for higher and higher esteem for the college. I thank from bottom of my heart the Management Trustees, Faculty members, Students, and Non-teaching staff for contributing positively to the pursuit of the college to quality enhancement and contribution to society.

Admission

Admission is available in two parts Arts & Commerce; students can take admission after the 12th pass on their various streams.

The advertisements are made on T.V, in newspapers, on college notice boards, and on web site www.accvad.ac.in The students are directed to read the common prospectus (CP) carefully before filling out the online or offline form.

The rules and regulations for deposition of admission fees, method of selection, reservation, and weightage are described in the joint prospectus every year.

  • An academic atmosphere must be maintained inside and outside the classroom as well as on campus
  • Every student should possess a valid identity card
  • The students are not allowed to indulge in public political activities
  • The students shall park their vehicles on the vehicle stand
  • Spitting on walls, floors, pillars, and doors of the college is strictly prohibited.
  • The students should take their seats before the teacher enters the classroom and should not leave their seats during lectures
  • The students are not allowed to use a mobile phone in the classroom ordinarily
  • All students are punishable individually or collectively if they cause any damage to college property
  • Students found guilty of serious misconduct or undisciplined activities are liable to be expelled.

NCC

The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its Head Quarters in New Delhi. It is open to school and college students voluntarily. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization that recruits cadets from high schools, colleges, and Universities all over India

Sports

Some of the popular sports played in college are cricket, kho-kho, badminton, football, kabaddi, and table tennis. The Sports Authority of Gujarat presides and supervises the sporting activities under the Sports, Youth, and Cultural Activities Department.

Culture Program

Panch Prakalp

KCG envisions to generate and provide ideas and paradigms for achieving excellence in education, educational management, and policy framing for education in general and higher education. It would, through its initiatives about preservation, acquisition, generation, dissemination, and application of knowledge.

NSS

National Service Scheme (NSS) is beneficial to both students as well as society in various means. NSS helps the student to grow individually and as a group. It makes the students confident, develops leadership skills, and gain knowledge about different people from different walks of life

Saptdhara

Under Saptdhara initiative different activities are conducted such as essay competitions, writing competitions, Elocution competitions, Creative activities, and workshops, etc. It the implemented for the overall development of students.

SSIP

The Student Startup & Innovation Policy of the Government of Gujarat aims to create an integrated, state-wide, university-based innovation ecosystem to support the innovations and ideas of young students and provide a conducive environment for the optimum harnessing of their creative pursuit

Finishing School

A finishing school is defined as an institution that teaches students the finer aspects of etiquette and soft skills over and above the academic qualifications.
